48 Hours

Please keep Haiti in your prayers tonight. They’ve passed the 48 hour mark, which means from here on out, the vast majority of families will only be pulling bodies from the rubble . . . the chances of anyone surviving much longer while buried are very low.

Talk to Me, People!

It’s so tragic…if it was me, my heart would break to the point of me not being functional. I saw on TV that they’re still soldiering on. I pray for them to continue be strong.
I agree, I feel for those poor people. The images on TV have been horrible, and I can’t even to begin to imagine what they are going through. Hubby was 6 when the big one hit in Guatemala in ‘76, and he tells me it was terrible then… His parents/siblings currently live on the hillside in col. san jose el amate in z18 (as in posts support the back end of the house from falling down the hill and onto houses below similar to the building in Haiti) and they are all pretty much selling and moving to flat ground just to be safe… They are lucky to be able to do that, as many cannot. I am sure the death toll in Haiti will be high, given the lack of services and heavy equipment, and send thoughts, prayers, etc… to those that are still there. In addition to horrific conditions, these poor people have to worry now about gangs, violence and general public unrest as things continue to go downhill in the days ahead.
