A Budding Artist

Guess who this is?

I´ll give you a big hint, she writes this blog.
Dorian found a pencil crayon this morning and asked for some paper and proceeded to draw a portrait of me. Now, I realize this isn´t terribly recognizable, but I´m still very proud since it´s his very first portrait EVER and he chose me as his model!
You will also see that he wrote my name on it. So far he can only do the “M” of Mama and it´s written sideways, but he does it very well!

That’s great! Isn’t it funny how as moms we recognize what they’ve drawn so easily? Sometimes I can’t believe that others can’t tell exactly what Grant has drawn until I point it out to them. Grant’s one letter is “A”. He always says “up, down, across” as he draws it.
Is Dorian’s masterpiece on the fridge now?
But of course! He has the fridge pretty much decorated now.
And he was very careful in explaining what each part was, lol. Dorian says the “up, down, up, down” as he writes Ms, too! Isn´t it funny how they learn? I just love it.
