A Peek Into My Kitchen

I’ve been doing a lot of cooking lately, in an effort to really amp up the food blog I share with my sister, The Gourmet Mama. We recently did a site makeover that is still in need of some tweaks, though I haven’t had time to really polish it yet. However, we’ve been enjoying a lot of delicious goodies as I whip out new recipes and photograph them.

I love food photography, mainly because it doesn’t wiggle, run away or hide its face and moan, “MAAAAAMAAAAA, no more pictures!” I can take my time to light the food just so and not have to deal with heavy sighs and “Ya? Can I play now?” The down side? Food photos aren’t nearly as cute as my kids. ;) But, in case you’ve had enough of the kid fixes for now, here are some shots to get you drooling. Some of these aren’t up on Gourmet Mama yet, so you’re getting a sneak preview.

    Forget the writing; you need to focus on cooking and deliver this stuff around town…or at least to my house.

    I highly doubt that would be as lucrative as writing, Mark. :) Unless you’re willing to pay $100 for an applesauce pie?
