Attack of the Green-eyed Monster

Dorian has officially been taken over by the green-eyed monster.

He was a little jealous when Dante first came home, but then he was fine and things had been rolling along quite nicely when suddenly, two days ago, he went berserk.

Suddenly, he cries if Irving or I hold the baby for even a second, has a major tantrum if one of us should walk outside with his brother and not him, and does all sorts of little things to bug his new sibling. I turn around for five seconds and he is stealing the baby´s bottle and drinking it himself (he´s quite upset that Dante gets milk all the time while he is limited to just two bottles a day!) and if I am breastfeeding, he keeps trying to climb onto my lap. I tried feeding on the bed, so he can sit next to me, but he wants to be ON me!

This jealousy has spread to other things as well, including my computer. lol. Now, if he sees me turn on my computer, he throws a tantrum. I´m not sure exactly what is going on, but he obviously needs more attention from me (his papa spends time with him, but he wants ME) so I have been working hard during his nap and then when he gets up, we curl up together on the bed and read or color together and have tickle fights.

Dorian is going through a super-word stage right now, he learns two to five new words a day, so maybe that has something to do with it. At any rate, I figure this is a better time than ever to be outsourcing! That way I can spend the time I would have spent doing laundry with my boy. Work is just going to have to be scaled down a bit for now.
