Blame It On Something Else

Posted on March 8, 2008 - Filed Under Kids |

Toddlers are just so much fun. As they start to work out how the world works and cause and effect, it´s just so entertaining to watch and listen to them! Dorian is no exception.

This morning, he walked over the door that was ajar, pulled it open and then slammed it shut with all his might. “WOW! The wind!” he exclaimed. “The wind did it!” I asked if he was the wind and he stretched out his arms and yelled, “WIND!” Which wasn´t really a definitive answer, but I guess that´s what you get with a two year old!

Other little Dorian discoveries:

“Look, for peepee.” He said yesterday, when he found some toilet paper . . . then he proceed to wipe my butt (which was fully clothed, for your information) for me! :S Could be that he is almost ready . . .

“Hey, Mama. Birds.” He pointed to some birds (a LOT of them) circling on some thermals above us. “Birds going to da moooooon!” Dorian is currently obsessed with the moon and wants to go there very badly. He used to jump and try to grab it and then he would sigh and say, “oh no. I no reach. No reach moon.” Now he realizes that it´s further away and he was pretty envious of those birds who were going on a trip to the moon. We´ll have to build a cardboard rocket ship one of these days. :)

Dorian happy

Don’t you just love them at this age. Their sayings are priceless.

Aw, he’s so cute! If you’re short on cardboard boxes, the couch works as a great rocket ship, too!

I can see their energy in each photo. Are you surprised that they were able to sit on the couch for those pictures?
