Can I Have a Tiss, Please?
Posted on January 21, 2008 - Filed Under Kids |
I´m very adament that my boys give me kisses and I have no plans of ever letting them stop. Dorian is already onto the whole, “awww, Mom!” stage of kissing, but he will still give me one whenever he leaves the house and occasionally when I ask for a kiss.
Dante picked up on the whole kiss thing early one and started giving those sweet, open mouth baby kisses on command from about 5 or 6 months old. But this morning marked a whole new step in his kissing.
He was in bed with us, climbing onto my tummy and he suddenly said, “Tiss? Tiss?” and leaned over to give me a great big drooly kiss on the cheek. It was the cutest thing EVER!
Not to mention, a whole new word. I think it´s kinda funny that he would say “kiss” before he says “mama”, but hey, who am I to decide which words are the most important?

My daughter used to say, chu-chu for a kiss. She was referring for the sound of the kiss when it lands on my cheeks. I love baby talk!
Oh, melt my heart!! There’s nothing like a voluntary kiss from a little baby. Grayson used to give me “movie star kisses” where he would kiss me and move his head side to side like on tv. He’s outgrown it now.
Was it one of those EXTREMELY wet slobber ones as well???
Very cute though. And, I would have thought you would have been more upset with him saying dada first over mama…
