Christmas Art: Toddler Style

We haven`t done a lot this year with Christmas decorations. Here`s why:

Dante just can`t leave the tree alone and has singlehandedly destroyed a very large number of ornaments. Leaving the tree to look like this. It doesn`t look that bad with the lights on, but they didn`t come out right in the picture.
However, we have done a few little art projects. One of them was snowmen. I cut out foam tray circles and the boys glued them and decorated with glitter and sequins.
Here`s Dorian`s. It does look like a snowman, albeit one that had a run-in with a disco ball!

And Dante`s. Which appears to have been blown apart by sparkle dust. Notice that the head also has a nice little bite out of it . . . he wasn`t convinced I wasn`t giving them cookies to glue.

Next, I think we`re going to make these stained glass trees, they look fun and easy and I think the kids would enjoy mucking around with glue and tissue paper!

Talk to Me, People!

Hmm, I think someone’s been reading Twilight aloud to the little ones. Sparkly snowmen with bites taken out of their noggins? Really, that’s not an appropriate book for small children, Genesis. HA! Kidding!
I’ve been trying to think of another good craft to do with the boys. I’m trying to stick with things we can use as decorations next year too. Makes things a little more tricky.
HA! That`s funny. They probably picked it up through osmosis, I`ve read it so much.
I like kids’ view on sparkley things… if a little is good, then A LOT is even better!
