Christmas Project Update - Oct. 20th

Posted on October 20, 2007 - Filed Under Mom Stuff |

To see my original list, go here. If you are crafty, please see the end of this post!

I´m actually buckling down and getting started on my Christmas projects. Yay! Since I usually feel guilty for not actually working (i.e. writing), I´ve devised a sneaky plan. When I sit down to watch television, I take out my crochet stuff and work on that gorgeous snowflake afghan!

I usually watch tv for an hour or so in the evening, but usually while twisted in my computer chair, so now I move to the bed and work on the afghan while I watch and I don´t miss the show and don´t feel as guilty because there´s something productive being done!

The afghan is actually made up of hexagons, with the white snowflake part in the middle and dark blue edges. To make things go faster (hopefully), I´m doing all the snowflakes first and then I plan to work on the blue part. Last, I will join them and crochet the border. I forgot how relaxing it is to just sit and crochet away! Very nice.

As for my other projects, I am still running behind . . . I need some help. So this is a call to all my crafty readers! Please email me or put a link in the comments if you can help me with the following:

-  A pattern/photo/idea for a tree skirt

- A pattern/photo/idea for an advent calendar, preferably of cloth

-  Cross-stitch ideas for stockings . . . remember that it is tough to get embroidery colors here, so if you have links to simple designs that don´t use a lot of shades of each color, I´d love to see them!
