Clean House Update

I almost made it. After a brief energy lull once the guys left, I got off my duff and dumped everything on the floor. Everything that wasn´t already there, that is. The box on top of the wardrobe, everything on top of the tv stand, the shelves full of clutter, it all got poured out onto the floor.
See, I know I´m lazy and if everything is on the floor . . . well, it has to be cleaned up, right? So this is how I force myself to finish cleaning . . . sort of.
So, once the floor was knee deep in stuff, I set to work, tossing stuff into the garbage bag I had ready for the occasion and dividing things into piles on the bed . . . health and beauty (Tylenol, shampoo, creams), techie stuff (power cords, memory sticks, etc.) , kid toys, kid art and craft stuff, my arts and crafts stuff, etc.
By the time Irving and Dorian came home, I was pretty tired, but making some headway. Everything was in piles anyway. 
That´s when it all fell apart.
First, Irving decided he HAD to sit on the bed. So, he pushed arts and crafts into the Misc. pile and knocked over the health and beauty stuff, mixing it with techie things. Then Dorian came in and started going through the box that I had already started to fill with storage items and then he opened a box of crayons. Now, I´m not saying I was terribly organized, but that kind of took the urge to clean away.
In the end, most of the stuff was put away and things are newly arranged, but some stuff just got shoved under the tv again. And the corner is still full of odds and ends. And I never did get to my desk or dust for cobwebs or wax the floor. But still. It looks better than before.
The worst part? I think the reason everything looks so much better is because I cleaned the mirrors and the windows! If I had known, I would have just done that instead of spending the entire day sifting through the astounding amount of junk we´ve acquired in the past few years!
