Drool!

I’m trying to lose weight so I look semi-decent when I head up to Canada in a couple of months, but these came up on the menu at a restaurant I visited with friends the other day and I couldn’t help but try reproducing them at home . . . and they turned out delicious!!

chimichangas

These are dessert chimichangas with a cream cheese filling and sweet strawberry topping, just like you find at Ta’Contento. If you want to try making your own (SUPER easy to do), the recipe is here and it includes folding instructions.

This reminds me of a prayer I read somewhere: Dear God, If you won´t make me thin, at least please make my friends fat.
Just when I thought I was immune to fatty desserts…

When I was on the Living Waters Mission last week I ate the most fabulous saute of cabbage and carrots. Any idea how to make it?

Joining the drool-club here. Looks super-delicious… Is it all around sweet? Cream cheese sounds salty… is it a sweetsalty mix? *curious and hungry*

It’s a mixture. You add just enough sugar to the cream cheese to take the edge off, but the saltish, sour taste is still there, just tempered. The flour tortillas really don’t taste like anything, they are just adding a crunch factor, and then you have the sweet strawberries. It’s a really awesome combination!

Now you have me drooling galore! :) )
Unfortunately I’m in the middle of my home-improvement madness, otherwise I’d be off to the grocery-store now.
