English, Please!

When very small, both my boys preferred Spanish over English, probably because that´s what they heard most. Except when they were in need of comfort, then it was English all the way!
More recently, we´ve found some DVDs for Dorian in English and he´s been watching Enchanted, Cars and the like in English. It´s really helped boost his language skills, considering that apart from the movies he only hears me speak it. Dante is also starting to say some English words, imitating his big brother, and I love it.
But I didn´t realize how far it had gone until this morning. Irving put on Ratatoille and he had it in English. Then he noticed that the sound was delayed, so he switched it to Spanish to check the quality.
Dorian looked at him, got up, took the control away from him and brought it me. He doesn´t really know to say “English” or “Spanish”, but it was pretty obvious what he wanted. I switched it back to English and he happily ran off to watch it again!

Sounds as though he is a little boy who knows what HE wants!!! Is he more like you, or Irving?? lol
Adorable shot. It amazes me how much Spanish my little ones picked up from Dora and Sesame Street here.
