Fabric, Sewing and Plans

So, here is the stash I picked up for 2 quetzales (just over 25 cents US) per piece.

The baby was free with the 12 items I bought. :D Just kidding, I threw Dante in there to add interest to what otherwise might have just looked like a laundry pile!

So, here is the plan. The majority of this stuff is going to be turned into clothing for my boys. There is a denim dress, with more than enough fabric to make jeans or maybe matching coveralls (with truck applique). The white fabric in the upper right corner is actually a huge great dress made of stretch cotton with little grey blue stripes, perfect for onesies. I can make about fifty out of that thing!

There is also thick black corduroy and thin red corduroy that I thought would make cute overalls or stuffies, that blue stripey T-shirt in the lower left corner for onesies and I´m not sure yet if the blue plaid pants are going to be my Pjs or pjs for the two boys. Oh, and that funky shiny, striped fabric up in the top left? That´s a really cool shirt that I would never, ever wear, but which would be really neat to make a . . . . well, I´m not sure yet what it´s good for, but it was so shiny and colorful that I just couldn´t pass it up!

That´s what I did this morning, sifted through piles of junk to find this great stuff. I didn´t even have to go to another table, everything on the 2Q table was great! So, now we shall see if I ever actually have time to do anything with this stuff! If not, Irving will be furious, because he hates it when I bring home fabric and it piles up around the house! :D
