Guess Who´s Being a Copycat?

Dante is turning into a real little person now. He´s very interactive and has started to copy his adored big brother. I can see this going to some very bad places in the future, but for now, he mostly just cries when Dorian cries, laughs when he laughs and wants to play with the same toys. But yesterday, he did something ever so cute.
We were sitting outside. I had Dante on one knee and Dorian ran up and straddled Irving´s leg and wanted a horsey ride. When Irving didn´t respond, Dorian started bouncing up and down on his leg, while Dante looked on with extreme interest. Then Dante started to bounce, too! It was funny, and only for a second. When Dorian stopped, so did the baby. But it wasn´t a coincidence. A few minutes later, Dorian bounced again and Dante copied him again! It was so funny to see his little head bobbing up and down.
Then later, I decided to see how much he could copy. We determined that sounds were out unless it was a shriek or a laugh. But if I stuck my tongue out, Dante would do that. So I tried blowing raspberries. He took about half an hour to get the hang of it, but then he thought it was great! And this morning, I took him out of the crib and he looked at me and stuck his tongue out and laughed. And he spent the whole day with his tongue hanging out . . . not sure that was the best thing to teach him!
For those of you that are wondering, Irving and I are doing ok. I´m still a little down, but not so much. Life goes on and I do have all my bloggy friends, like Bernie!
