Happy Birthday, Cariño

Today, Irving is 30. Surprisingly, he`s totally freaked out about it. Which makes GREAT fodder for teasing him (don`t worry, I hit the big 3-0 next year and there will be plenty of retribution!).

I met Irving six years ago tomorrow (well, technically we met a week earlier but he says it doesn`t count because it was at a nightclub and all . . . the day after his 24th birthday is the day we had our first “date”). Six years when you`re 24 is a long time. We`ve both changed a LOT! But I`ll save that for the anniversary post.

Today . . . it`s all about my man. I`m making him Eggs Benedict, lets hope it turns out, for breakfast, his favorite Jello Cake with strawberries and whipped cream for his cake and a nice churrasco for dinner. Should be good! I think this is the first time Irving has been home for his entire birthday in a very long time . . . and it`s the FIRST birthday he`s celebrating with just us, thanks to some problems with his mom. That means I get to do the cooking and everything and we don`t have to wait until she decides we should eat (usually at 9 or 10 at night when the kids have been asleep for hours!).

So, Happy Birthday, darling. Hope it`s a good one, I`ll be working to make it the best!

    Aw, Happy Birthday, Irving!
He is lucky to have a wife who wants to celebrate him so much today. :) I hate that you are having problems with the MIL, but at the same time, you get a great chance to start a new tradition! I hope all turns out well.
