Happy Birthday to My No Longer Baby

Dante is two today. I can´t believe my baby has grown up so fast . . . I think it goes even faster with the second kid!
We´ll be celebrating his birthday tomorrow since Irving was supposed to be working today (gig was cancelled for swine flu fears AGAIN) and we figured a full day with Papa here would be best. He´ll be getting an Eva cake that I´m making tonight (from Wall-E, his favorite movie) and a set of his very own tools to build things with . . . or destroy them.
From the very beginning, Dante was easier than his brother. His pregnancy was an easy one in comparison to his brother´s, the birth was a hundred times better, though the labor was longer, and he was a totally laid back little guy for the first three months. After that . . . he discovered screaming and has been doing it ever since!
Dante is our little mess maker, our Destroyer, our garburator and our funny boy. He likes to follow in his big brother´s footsteps, but he´s very independent and even more stubborn.
He loves to make people laugh and he thinks he´s pretty darn funny, too . . . especially after doing something he shouldn´t have. He´s the one who always smashing his head, tumbling off things and it´s just not a normal day if he hasn´t managed to scrape, slice, poke and otherwise bleed all over everything.
If it´s quiet when he´s around, we KNOW he´s into something. Here are a few examples from the past couple of years.
Of course, he does clean up nicely and there is NEVER a dull moment with Dante around! We love him to bits and pieces!

Happy Birthday big guy!!! Wow… two comes fast doesn’t it. He is full of life and chaos isn’t he
so is my 2nd child. I think it is that one child is more theory oriented, and the other more mechanical… meaning hand’s on 100%! Can’t wait to see the cake. Hope you all have a lovely day of celebration!
