How to Find Solutions to Your Problems

I´m having one of those days where all the little things in my life are piling up and I feel completely buried under them. In the old days, before I had children and a husband, I would have crawled into bed and stayed there for a day or two, bawling my eyes out.
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), my boys need their mama and I can´t do that anymore. So, instead of giving in to the overwhelming desire to curl up and cry, I´m trying to work out a solution. The best way I have come up with to do this, from past experience, is to make a LIST.
First, I write down all the things that are irritating me, even the little ones. Today, that is a pretty long list.
Then I write down possible solutions. Some can be implemented right off, but some of them I have to wait for.
I´ll give you an example. One of the things on my list is that I am not being efficient. I sit here at the computer, trying to work and my brain is too fuzzy to really concentrate on any one thing. Especially writing the articles that are due tomorrow!
So, I´m trying to think of some possible solutions. One is to figure out how to get more sleep so I´m a bit more alert. Another is to make a schedule and stick to it, this would apply to the whole family. We need a schedule anyway because Dorian would probably be a lot better behaved if he had regular mealtimes and naps.
Another one of my possible solutions is to use a timer to make sure that I don´t spend too much time fooling around in my email, or playing games. I could set the timer for thirty minutes, for example, and use that time to promote my blogs. Another thirty minutes to write the first two articles that are due tomorrow. Fifteen minutes to play Tetris or Zoo Tycoon, etc. You get the point.
So, I guess a combination of all those would probably work best. Do you have a proven method of dealing with those pileups of problems? I´d love to hear it if you do!
