I Need a Craft Room

Really, I do. I was already tired of having to paint on the kitchen countertop, with my painting leaning against the wall, but this morning was the straw that broke the camel`s back.
Irving recently cleaned our room. He took his stereo from the living room, booted my sewing machine from its table and stuck it under the table, on the floor, while his stereo occupied the table. Since I haven`t really been doing much sewing and he needed a place to listen to his music where it wouldn`t burst my eardrums bother me as much, it made sense to have him put his stuff in there. I wasn`t happy about the sewing machine being on the floor, but we are really running out of space to put things.
This morning. This morning the boys were playing in our room. Dante came running out with something in his mouth, Dorian hot on his heels. I pulled two tiny little hearing aid batteries out of Dante`s mouth and while I was wracking my brain, trying to figure out what we had that used these batteries . . . I realized Dorian had the remains of a lightbulb in his hand. A very small one. My first thought was the nightlight. But that wouldn`t have batteries . . .
You guessed it. It was my sewing machine light. They opened the front and pulled the lightbulb out by its roots.
I`m guessing the batteries were in there as well, though I`m not really sure.
This would have made me furious a year ago. Today I just felt sad and then motivated to work harder to build up my business so I can actually have a place to keep my things, away from little fingers and away from a husband who doesn`t realize the value of MY stuff. Now, if I could just find more work . . .
