I´m Back in Control

Ok, I´m going to be around for a while longer, thank goodness. And no thanks to GoDaddy who was of ABSOLUTELY no help. Here is their reply to my note regarding the fact that my domains had been stolen:
Dear Genesis Davies,
Unfortunately, we will not be able to assist you with your request as you are not the current registrant of the domains ATHOMEMOMBLOG.COM,HUGECASH.INFO and BANDAVEGA.COM . As the registrar, we are unable to make ownership changes on a domain without the consent of the registrant. At this point you will need to contact the owner via one of the methods listed on the Whois record of the domain.
If you find that the Whois information provided at http://who.godaddy.com/whoischeck.aspx?app%5Fhdr=is invalid, such as containing a phone number that has been disconnected, please send us a detailed email to invalidwhois@secureserver.net so that we can attempt to have the owner correct it.
If the registrant is unresponsive or unwilling to assist you in this matter the only suggestion we can offer you would be to contact an arbitration forum such as WIPO (http://www.wipo.int) or settle the matter via the local court system.
Thank you,
GoDaddy.com, Inc.
Domain Services
Since they were unwilling to help me, I emailed little Jonny Calvo (if the name sounds familiar, it´s from a television series called Jonny Zero about a criminal mastermind . . . the fake address he gave on WhoIs was for a security company in Florida, guess he has a sense of humor) and threatened him. Childish, right? Well, I was really frustrated and angry and anyway, it worked. This morning I got an email from him:
i not hack your acc some gays give me acc… i dont know that is hacked acc… sorry
your login details:
user: king023
password: JkmdnJ45Z
I immediately changed my account info, but I am seriously considering switching to another domain registrar . . . anyone know a good, safe one? Though I have to admit, my hotmail account was erased about a month and a bit ago (right when the cracker took my account) and I thought Dorian had done it by accident. Now I can see that someone went in and dug out my account details, then erased everything to cover their tracks. They even changed the password, which struck me as odd at the time, but again, chalked it up to Dorian banging away on my keyboard.
So, lessons learned . . . keep your passwords super complicated, mine was not a very secure one, apparently. I´m changing all my passwords and instead of just using two or three for all sites, I will be using a different one for each site. None of these will be kept in an email account. Anyone else have some ideas?

Morning Genesis…
Just woke up to see this… I am GLAD that I did not go with GoDaddy!!! I ended up going with name.com.au. For $20AUD, I registered my Domain Name AND FREE HOSTING!!!
It is alos HTTPS, which offers a level of security as well, not sure what GoDaddy use…
Good to see it all coming back together for you…
It seems that all your bad news is computer related. Ditch the computer and your life would be nothing but good!
Bluehost has a very helpful customer service staff that’s available 24/7 via chat. Glad to know you’re back in control. I hope it won’t happen again in the future!
Bernie, I have no idea if GoDaddy uses HTTPS, but it looks like they hacked my email account first.
So they would have had all the info.
Rick, to tell you the truth, I was seriously considering giving up on the whole computer thing for a bit there! But I would never survive.
Grace, I didn´t know that Bluehost has domain names, I´ll be looking into that, thanks!
I’m so glad you got it all worked out! I was so sad that I might not be able to visit you here. I’m glad your threats worked!
