I`m Bringing In Some Help

Since I am unfortunately not SuperMom, Irving and I have made a decision to try again on the muchacha front. With me taking on some abañil duties, there is even less time to work around the house and get stuff done, plus I`m really feeling the pressure mount from being at home all day every day with the kids. We`ve tried to get the in-laws to babysit, but they all have their own lives and rarely have time, so mostly I just stay in.

We interviewed a very nice girl today, about 17 years old and she is going to be working here three days a week from 9-1 to start. Personally, I`m thinking if she works out, I`m just going to have her come in for 6 mornings a week so I don`t even have to think about dishes. ;) She will be responsible for cleaning the house, cooking lunch (doesn`t that sound rather posh?!) and watching the boys. If I want to go out, whether Irving is here or not, I`ll be able to leave the kids with her for an hour or more.

This will also give me more time to concentrate on other things, like work and building, eliminating the whole cleaning the house and washing dishes business . . . which I happen to detest. I`ll keep you posted on how it goes.

You are totally welcome to come on over and help out, Bernie. We could use your gardening expertise in a few months (I HOPE). Wouldn`t that be cool, to finally be able to meet you! We would be more than happy to have you, should you ever end up in this neck of the woods.

What a weight off your shoulders!!! :) There are only so many hours in a day… you cannot work all 24 and be productive. Good to prioritize and delegate!!

Very true, Connie. Plus I figured, even if a maid messes up, we`re paying her WAY less than a builder and she won`t leave me with a screwed up bathroom. I hope. :)
