It´s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
Posted on June 21, 2007 - Filed Under Uncategorized |
It is the rainy season here in Guatemala and normally we get a bit of sun in the morning and heaps of rain in the afternoon and all night.
Today, is an absolutely gorgeous day! Sunshine all day, not a cloud in sight! And I´m in here working on the computer! At least Dorian is outside enjoying the dirt and sun.
We actually did take a walk to the store, which was nice. I´m still finding it hard to manage a newborn and a toddler in the street. Especially a toddler who refuses to hold my hand and takes off full tilt down a 45º broken cobblestone road!
Yesterday, his feet flew out from under him and he went smashing down backwards on his head. It was awful. Irving gets quite upset about these things, but I try to remember that I went through that same “Do it myself” toddler stage and survived with only a couple of major scars!

Hi-
Returning the visit to your blog-very cool that you live in Guatemala….all the way from Canada (that is quite the move)! I can imagine that the weather is much warmer than Canada, huh?
We are using a Christian Agency for our adoption -called All God’s Children (out of Oregon, but the have a relief program in Guatemala for woman and their children, also an adoption program for woman who decide not to keep their children.) If you go to my blog there is my favorite places on the right side of the blog…scroll down and you will find a link to All God’s Children…let me know if you want more info or help finding them.
Nice to meet you -God bless you for offering your help, you are very kind (I think the agency plans to help us while we are there, but I will remember your kind offer.)
God bless you!
Kimmie
Mama to 6
one homemade and 5 adopted!
I have actually heard of All God´s Children from another adoptive mom that I met in Antigua. I´m sure they will be very helpful.
Good luck! And the offer still stands, should you need anything while here.
