It`s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

Which means, as soon as I finish my articles for this morning, I`m moving outdoors to paint!!!
You see, I have this project that I started eons ago . . . fixing up the boys` room so Dante can be moved in there. I wanted to paint the plain wooden dresser with something brighter, so I asked Irving to get me some acrylic paints. He came back with oil, but the colors were cool, so I decided to go with it.
Now, it`s the rainy season here, so that means I can`t get much done. I paint one coat, it rains. I wait a few days, paint another coat, it rains. So I finally have the two base coats of turquoise on and now I`ve got this big bright dresser sitting in the middle of my kitchen, waiting for stars. I`ve even cut most of the star templates out and stuck them on. And it`s been like that for three days, just sitting there, serving as an extra flat surface to dump junk on until a sunny day came along.
Apparently that sunny day is today! WOOHOO! So I`m off to sponge on some brightly colored stars to turn this into the dresser of every little boy`s dreams. I`ll have pics in a couple of days if the weather holds!

HI Sweet Genesis;
Okay, I was going to tell you how I JUST can’t wait to see the dresser, but then I realized I needed to tell you how special you are and how much I love you. Truly.
Can’t wait for the pictures…
