Lost Keys

Irving has this thing where he simply cannot keep track of his keys. He literally loses them every time he touches them. We’ve tried having a key thing by the door, but he never remembers to put them there, so it did no good. And the other day, we were heading out to visit Ann and Max, some new friends of ours and recent newcomers to Antigua, when we realized the keys were missing again.

The usual routine of searching everywhere he usually leaves them turned up nothing and finally we were getting pretty annoyed when Dorian yelled, “I forgot my mochila!” He’d packed his little bag to go visit with his friends. I looked for the mochilita and found it on the kitchen counter.

Dorian's bag

When I opened it, we discovered everything you need to go visit a couple of little boys.

Dorian's bag inside

Cash (for chips or something), a tooth refrigerator magnet, a pen, and, of course, keys.

Glad you found them…sounds like it is quite the search.

I bet it can *old* looking for the keys again and again.

I had a day last week where I kept losing them…I was trying to do a hundred things at once and kept putting them down at each location. sigh. glad that day is OVER!

    thanks for your *mop* advice.

Is that where you found Jacob and David’s TV remote? Amazing what little hands can magnetize right? ;-) We had fun… lets have a play date again soon.

Lol, nope, Ann, we discovered the remote in the big backpack. Dante had tucked it in there when he was trying to put his pacha away. :S I’m so sorry about that! Guess he thought it was ours. :P

We’re up for another play date anytime! Dorian is already talking about seeing the boys again, he really loves playing with them. We´ve got lots of dirt around right now, too, if they like to dig holes. ;)

Hi, Kimmie, yes it gets very old looking for keys. It’s actually to the point where I just roll my eyes and go back to work usually, but this time I was leaving, too!

I’m the one who is supposed to know where everyone’s stuff is, always. Amazingly enough, I usually do – but don’t ask me what I had for lunch yesterday! :D

Whatever happened to those key rings with a little gadget that beeped when you whistled? Why were they discontinued? I lose everything, especially keys and my cell phone. With a cell phone it´s easy cuz you just call it from another phone and then run around your house till you hear it ringing.
Things do have a way of showing up in little kids mochilas, right between the moldy sandwiches and the broken crayons.

Cristina, the cell thing never works for us because we forget to charge our phones, so they don’t ring! Usually the boys know where it is though, since they hid it. :P
