Love`s True Kiss

Anyone who has ever seen Enchanted knows the power of Love`s True Kiss. It`s pretty potent! You can even bring someone back to the dead (if you kiss them before midnight, that is) after they`ve foolishly bitten into a poison apple offered by an old hag.
Dorian loves this movie and can sing along with many of the songs. Yesterday, he took it to a whole new level, pretending to faint on the floor. When I didn`t run to him, he said, “Mama! I fell!” I went to lift him up and he closed his eyes and pretended he was dead. So I made a fuss about it and scooped him up . . . he`s a really good actor! I was surprised that he managed to continue his charade as I placed him on the sofa, completely limp, eyes shut tight, working very hard not to laugh as I called Dante over to see what we could do about his poor dead brother!
Well, after trying a few things, it occurred to me that perhaps he just needed a kiss to wake up. So I kissed him and PRESTO! He woke up.
It`s nice to know that I`m still his One True Love. I`m sure I`ll be replaced by a younger model at some point, but for now I`m relishing the fact that it`s my kiss alone that can wake my fainted child.

Honor loves that movie too - it is really sweet! - and while she hasn’t got the words memorized, she uses the tunes to make her own songs. And yes, my little sleeping beauty has needed many a true love kiss to wake her up
Hi! My son is a great actor too, sometimes too good:)
I’ve added you to my list of blogger friends!

My daughter loves enchanted and YES, we do re-enact the kiss scene a LOT! Our DVD of Enchanted is being played over and over (and over x 100x) that in a couple of months, it will be half as thin with friction!
Too cute…had me laughing with the ‘replace me with a younger model.’

Oh, that is so sweet! Grayson used to play that way too. Not Grant though. He’s more likely to play the wicked witch than ask for love’s true kiss! lol.
