Low Down Sunday

I´m feeling a bit bummed out today. Dante has woken up at 3 am for the past few mornings and doesn´t go back to sleep until Dorian is getting up. Since Irving hasn´t been around (he´s playing a lot these days), that means I´m getting up all night and then for good at 3 am and I´m really really tired.
Remember all those magazine articles I did back in August? Well, the pay date has come and gone and I´ve sent two emails asking what´s up, neither of which received a response. That in itself is lousy, since the money was enough to finish my kitchen. But when you combine it with lack of sleep, the fact that I have barely worked the past week due to not having anyone to spell me off, and the 24-7 Terrible Twos . . . . well, it´s enough to cause a mini breakdown.
The good news? Dorian has taken to his big boy bed like a fish to water. He goes down without a peep every night and sleeps through the entire night. Maybe his crib was just uncomfy. We did have an issue with him bashing his head into the wall and waking himself up, but I fixed that by putting stuffed animals along the top of his bed and it hasn´t been a problem since. In the morning, he goes to his door and yells, “VENGA!” which means come. And then he dances out of his room and has a good ten minutes of happiness before his tantrums begin.
