Meet Tasha

The newest addition to our family, Tasha:

Blue puppy eyes

I know, I`ve said a million times that I don`t want another dog. And I didn`t. I`m still not so sure about this cute little gal, but yesterday, Irving and I hit the market to get some small things. There was a couple selling these adorable fuzzballs, Siberian huskies. Very cute, very expensive. So we left them there and went on shopping.

Now, I should mention that it has been Irving`s lifelong dream to own a husky with blue eyes. So he was really drooling. Well, even he had to admit the asking price was out of our range, though not bad for the quality. So we were about to head home, got to the motorbike and there was the couple with the puppies. There were just three left, two females and a male. Irving jokingly said, “If I can get one for less than half price, we`ll take it home.” I laughed and said sure. I mean, what are the chances?

As you can see, chances were in his favor. So, we are now the dubious owners of a small fuzzy Husky baby. Tasha is adorable, and the truth is that she`s been very well behaved. She`s actually housetrained, but we are keeping her outside anyway. The boys have been having a blast with her!

Tasha is absolutely adorable!! My parents had neighbors with a husky and that was one sweet dog. And it is so good for kids to have animal friends - and not just for the kibble. Mine used to get after the cat cereal and I would just have to remind myself that it would keep their pelts glossy.

Oh wow, she’s adorable! I envy you that she’s already housetrained. That is something that Dooley hasn’t grasped yet. :( Her eyes are INCREDIBLE. I would have fallen in love with her too!

Jessica, we were amazed at how much they`d already taught her, housetraining, to come when you clap your hands, etc.

Irving says the eyes are for Dante. :) Blue eyed dog for a blue eyed boy. But Dante is scared of poor Tasha and alternates between screeching at her and grabbing her fur in great handfuls. :S

Tasha is beautiful! I wish I could get a husky but I’m still in battle with the man about what kind of dog we should have. Despite us not living together!

But isn’t it hot in Guatemala for this breed? I heard they shed so good luck with that. Though the cute factor sure does pays for it.

So now I’m convinced you’re super mommy. 2 toddlers + 1 puppy. How come you’re not having constant cuteness heart attack, huh? I’d be dying every 5 seconds just being around your boys I bet! *hinthintmorepics*

It is hot here, I always thought, for a Husky, but right now I`m freezing my butt off. :) I`ve been told they shed MAJORLY twice a year, but since Tasha sleeps outside, that shouldn`t be a big deal. :)

I`ll show you shortly why I`m not dying of cuteness. ;)

Oh, so sweet. I can see why Irving got sucked in. She has beautiful eyes. I had an Alaskan Malamute named Tasha when I was a girl. She belonged to the teenage boy across the street. He only fed her, she was always tied to their old red barn. I went over everyday and played with her. His parents noticed, he got sick of having a dog and asked me if I wanted her. The rest is history. She was a really nice dog…but she loved to run (away).

Don’t let her play with plastic soda bottles. We have a friend whose dog died from getting a piece stuck in its throat. The vet couldn’t see it in the xrays, eventually the dog died. I always share this with a new dog owner, as who would think of this?

Hope you enjoy your newest baby!
