My Bedbugs

I got this DVD in the mail the other day with several episodes of My Bedbugs, a show about . . . well, bedbugs! Since it was English and for kids, I was more than happy to review it with the boys. I put it on one afternoon when both were a bit out of sorts and I needed a bit of peace.
The DVD had quite a few features on it, a sing-along section, 3 episodes (Lost Sock Adventure, Pirates of the Bugabean, and Rainy Day) plus some other clips.
Basically, there are three bedbug siblings, Gooby, the older brother and twins, Toofy and Woozy, who have fun adventures and learn some lessons. They are all watched over and guided by J. Edgar, a vacuum cleaner who teaches them values and instills lots of great wisdom. The bedbugs are real people dressed in full body pajamas and wearing oversized bug head. The kids loved them!
Here are the boys watching the video:

As you can see, they were both enthralled, which was great for me! The songs on the DVDs could have been a bit catchier, but Dorian liked them anyway, although he did get bored after one episode and wandered outside to play with mud.
Overall, the DVD was a success in our house and I would certainly recommend it to anyone with small children. It´s fun, there´s music and sway dancing (perfect for toddlers) and some good lessons incorporated into the episodes (not sure if anything got through to Dorian . . . ) and the voices are so NOT annoying like many other shows (i.e. purple dinosaur).
Oh, and the website is really fun if you turn on your speakers! Dorian had a blast moving his mouse over the images and watching things open and critters pop up. Definitely a must see! You can check it out at My Bedbugs, by GreeneStuff Inc.
Here´s one last shot of Dorian with the promo poster that came with the DVD. I had a better one of him holding it up (rare moment with a toddler, he actually did what I asked!) but my darn camera erased it. Now, if only I were famous enough to be sent a camera to test out . . .
