My Kid Is Weird

My sister frequently tells me, “I think your kids are aliens.” I think she might be right this time.
This morning, I woke up to “Mama! Mama! Mama!” When I went into Dorian`s room, he was sitting up in bed, burning up with a fever.
“Mama! I need medicine. I sick!”
And he was happy about it. As in, thrilled to BITS that he was FINALLY getting his turn to be sick. “I need go to doctor, Mama. I really, really sick.”
And he`s so not faking it. He`s got a serious fever, his throat hurts (well, I suppose that could be faked, he knows Dante had a sore throat, but with the fever, I`m thinking not so much) and he says his right ear hurts, too, which is totally a symptom no one has discussed before. He`s currently laying on the couch, watching Horton and muttering about medicine and being hot and doctors. Maybe he`s delirious, too?
Also, WHY do my kids insist on getting sick on Thursdays? Which is when our family doctor ( who is totally awesome and also the very reason these two exist since he figured out that I had an infection causing my miscarriages) is off? Which means we have to take them to the second best guy who charges twice as much and has a penchant for handing out antibiotics for too many things, which I totally don`t approve of because Dorian has been on antibiotics since before he was born (technically I was the one on them at that time, but he got a good dose then, too) and it`s ruined his poor little teeth.
Yeah. Anyway. Prayers would be appreciated. Please pray that it`s not an ear infection or tonsillitis. That it is just something minor that will go away without antibiotics. In the meantime . . . I`m going to be working to pay our rapidly mounting medical bills!

Poor kiddo. I can kinda of understand wanting the attention.. I tend to be the last one sick too.. you know, after everybody else has used up all the sympathy ;D I sure hope all of you are over this mess and FAST!
