I hope Irving can get some off days where he can take the boys out for the whole day and you can have your 'mini vacation'. Or you can send them over to Australia and I'll look after them for you for a couple of days, haha.

I read you on the weekends! I just don't comment because weekends are usually the busiest day for me. nevertheless, much hugs for you and hope you feel much relax-er soon.

Michele, where I live, the chicken buses aren`t crazy scary, but they are crowded. I`ve lived in comfort too long, lol. Before Dorian, I would actually take two different buses to work every day! BTW, if you do come down, just tell Jose that you want to stay in Antigua. It`s about as safe as you can get there! They have tourist police keeping everything under control and I bet you`d actually like it. ;)

Nicole, keep checking back, we`re getting close to the holidays! :) I`ll be sharing about fiambre for Nov. 1st, the burning of the devil, and lots more as these things get closer.

I know how it is not getting a break. But I gotta admit you have it rough, being in Guate, and not too close to town and all so that you could just walk someplace. And I have heard those chicken buses are just plain scary to ride in! Plus there is the mentality that a mom's place is in the home with her kids taking care of the house. I experienced that with Jose in the beginning, and we still have our cultural issues and differences, but we work through them. It is too bad though that your inlaws won't let you get away for a few hours and take both the boys. Thank goodness for the internet and the contact you have with the outside world, and am glad to hear your service is now working. Hubby Jose is fascinated with your blog too he asks me to read your posts to him in Spanish because he finds it interesting that you are living in Guate and enjoying it. He knows how I am, and if I don't have modern conveniences I don't do well. I think his dream is to get me down there someday...at least for a vacation. We shall see! Glad to see you posting again!
