Rabbit is Winning Hearts

So, when Rabbit the cat first showed up, Irving was not impressed. He claimed he hates cats (though I think he`d never seen one up close before) and is a dog person. Fine. He finally, reluctantly agreed we could keep the kitten if I gave it a flea bath.
But Rabbit has been making his (her?) way into Irving`s heart, at least a little bit! First, Irving noticed how clean the little critter was. He said to me one day “Wow, he`s a very polite animal, isn`t he? Washing himself, burying his poop . . . ”
Yesterday, Rabbit was left by Dorian at the other house. Irving made a huge sacrifice and picked it up and carried Rabbit back to our place. Without complaining once that he would get fleas or cat hair on him or commenting once that Rabbit looks like an alien.
Then today, I got up from my nap and went to give the cat some food and Irving said, “Oh, I already fed it.” Wow. Going from not wanting to look at the thing to feeding it . . . not bad for 3 short days!

Haha, that is so cute of him. I’m not much of a cat person either, I like dog more. But the resident cat in my new house have melted me and now I’m forever playing with it. Soon enough Irving will be claiming the cat to be his own.
No one can resist a tabby cat for long. I’ve thought about bringing one home from the shelter. I know Jeff would protest if I asked him first, but he wouldn’t be able to say no if it was sitting in front of him.
