Rain, Rain, Go to Spain

The rainy season is really going for the gusto right now. Rather than the usual sunny mornings followed by rainy afternoons and evening, it`s been raining all day, every day. Today was our first glimpse of sunshine in several days! Though it`s gone now.
All this rain has posed a problem when it comes to my two active little guys. We live in such a tiny house (about 200 square feet) that there simply isn`t enough room for them to run off all that steam that builds up after several days indoors. So . . . we had to figure out something to do with these guys.
First, we tried the calm route. We pulled the extra mattress out into the living room and the boys jumped on it for a bit and then made themselves beds to watch Monsters Inc.

Then we finally let Dorian go outside. This is how he came back.

I can just hear the in-laws hating on me for letting the kid get soaked in the rain!
Dante really wanted to play in water, but since he isn`t big enough to be outside unsupervised and I lost my joy of hanging out in the rain a decade and a half ago, I put a bit of water in his tub to play with. This is what I found when I turned around from writing an article.

Yeah, that`s my little guy taking a bath. In cold water. With his clothes on. And his shoes.

I`m going to be happy when the rainy season ends next month. Even if it means things get chilly. I can handle chilly. I just can`t handle two toddlers literally trying to scale my kitchen walls!

Hi Genesis….
Love the bathing with clothes on…think I will not tell my kids who are heading for the tub as we speak….
and yes, Hallie ships internationally. (Blue Thistle Books.) So go check her out…I love her Melissa and Doug crayons…they are great, I just ordered 10 more boxes, as they are on sale.!)
Thanks so much for going to see her store, that really blesses my heart to think you’d take the time.
Love you Genesis…your very special. (are you all better now?)

Wow, I don’t know how you do it — I get tired out just reading your posts!
Dennis, Oh, I get tired, too, but what`s a mom to do?
Yay… go out and play in the rain. I miss the rain! (ok, I understand too much of a good thing is too much, but I MISS the rain!)
Playing in the rain is so much fine. great pictures! They look so cozy watching the movie.
