School

I’ve been totally swamped with work lately, which is a good thing, but means when Irving has work, it gets tough to deal with kids and finish assignments. Especially when his boss calls him with last minute gigs that I can’t even plan around.

So, I’ve had to get a bit creative in keeping the kids occupied while still managing to work. Without a laptop, I might add. (apparently HP “fixed” it and the replacement part didn’t work either, when we get this thing back, it’s going to be sold immediately to try and recover some of the money).

Since I’m chained to the desktop, the kids have been put to work doing “school” at a nearby table or playing cars on the bed. Even my wiggly little guy likes school!

Don’t forget to take rest now and then! (Easier for me to tell you than tell myself. :P ) Kids with crayons…I applaud your bravery. And I applaud him for staying there and drawing on paper and not choose a different medium for his artistic tendencies. Haha

Ha, that’s definitely not his favorite canvas. Someday I’ll take photos of our walls, the bedsheets, cupboards and our brand new table. ;) And those three crayons are the only ones left in the house . . . they destroy them all in seconds!

Glad you are finding ways to get your work done (good for you!)

So glad you didn’t give them MARKERS…lol.

Oh, we don’t even keep markers in the house now, Kimmie! It’s just too dangerous!

I was fine with crayons until Miss Chaos was old enough to get her hands on them. Her big brother was neat to a fault. No broken crayons, no stray marks, etc. Honor wrote on walls, books, puzzles… she would strip down and color all over herself in markers. I didn’t allow the walls being colored, or books, but I let her color her own toys and self… might as well be creative. Eventually I was able to leave paints, glues, glitters, etc out too. They learn control … eventually. :) We still color out of the lines though. I had a bad backache the other day and lay on the floor to rest. Immediately the kids came to sit on me – next thing I know, they had the markers and were drawing love notes all over my back… I’m sure it hastened the healing process.

Dorian is just like Brian in that sense, he’s oh, so careful with the crayons and gets quite upset if the color gets on anything else. Dante, however, thinks the world needs more color. ;)
