Sick Stuffies
Posted on March 27, 2008 - Filed Under Kids |
Dorian has a major aversion to anyone touching his stomach, thanks to having a colostomy for just over a year. He was really sick last night and today he´s better, but still has the runs. Irving wanted to touch his tummy to see if it was hard, but Dorian didn´t want him to and freaked out.

Dorian went down for a nap and Irving took a stool sample to be analyzed. Turns out Dorian has parasites and entamoeba coli, which I thought was E. coli, and it is, but not the serious kind. Turns out it´s quite normal to have this, but it can cause other problems because usually other parasites get on board at the same time.
So, Dorian woke up from his nap and grabbed Bear and started dragging him out of bed. Apparently, Bear was sick. I touched Bear´s tummy and Dorian told me that it hurt. Bear needed treatment. So we put him on the chair to watch Cars and rest. I offered Bear some pizza, but he didn´t want to eat. Then Dorian´s giant seal came down with it, too and had be put on the chair, too.
Poor stuffies. I guess they picked up the same bug.

The poor lil fella… Not to mention his ’stuffies’!!!
I hope he gets well soon though…
Aw, poor guy. How sweet that he wanted to comfort his animals, too. I hope he’s better soon!
This sounds so familiar, Genesis!
Sofia had Chickenpox about two month ago and our herd of monkeys still suffers from it!
Love, Maggie from Baku
I certainly hope his tummy is feeling better. What a good mama you are- I am even feeling bad for his stuffies now

Hi Sweet Genesis;
He does look like our Bear. Though he looks more loved than ours.
Have a wonderful day, we are off to me mum’s to cut wood for them for the winter.
