Super Powers Moms Develop

I was just realizing the other day that I do a LOT of things that I would never have dreamed of doing before having children. So here is my list of Mom Super Powers . . . some of which may not apply to everyone.
Voluntary Deafness. Screaming, crying, whining . . . I know these things irritated me to death before I had children of my own, now it´s “Crying? What crying?”
Cleaning Vomit (without vomiting yourself). Before kids, if some would have vomited on my floor, I would have puked right there beside them.
Lightening Diaper Changes. Would you ever have imagined the speed with which one diaper can be untabbed, whipped out from under a damp bottom while a clean, dry one is simaltaneously replacing it?
Ability to Foresee Pee. Maybe moms of girls don´t have this issue, but as mother of two boys, I can tell you, you learn to recognize the signs that a stream is coming your way!
Ability to Change Diapers, Make Bottles and Change Beds . . . . while still asleep. Amazing. Never imagined I would have this super power!
Magical Healing Power. Yup, that special kiss that magically heals everything from a bump on the head to a scratch from your brother, it´s a very useful power to have.
Ability to Turn Anything Into Dinner. A packet of refried beans, add some pasta sauce and VOILA! Frijoles a la Mama. Some days there just isn´t time to make anything better.
The Look. I always wanted this power. Now I have it. Toddler about to bite his baby brother? Shoot him The Look and no more biting.
Amazing Translation Abilities. Do you know what “no, copeys cawfuw” means? I do. (No, be careful, there are pokeys).Moms have the unique ability to actually understand the weird gibberish that comes out of their toddler´s mouth.
Super Hearing. Isn´t it interesting how you jump awake at the slightest sigh from your baby, when before children, a fire alarm in your ear couldn´t wake you?
Any other super powers I´ve left out? Please feel free to share your mommy abilities with us in the comments!
