Thank Goodness for Bouncy Seats!

Posted on June 30, 2007 - Filed Under Kids, Personal |

Dante has been entertaining himself for the past 20 minutes in his new, pink bouncy seat. I´m impressed. He can usually survive about 5 minutes on the bed, 7 if his big brother is singing to him, but not much longer.

I knew I wanted a bouncy seat for him, but since that wonderful woman in the park donated one to us, I realized just how BADLY we needed it! What a wonderful babysitter, that chair.

Irving is worried that the flowers, butterflies and general pinkness of the seat will turn his son into a closet gay, but I´m just grateful we have it! It has a vibrating seat that Dante seems to like and when he got tired of batting at the butterflies and flowers, I took the toy bar off and sat him in the doorway, looking at the mess of construction that is our front yard . . . soon to be our kitchen/living room.

He seems to be completely fascinated, so I am going to grab this opportunity to get some writing done. I have 8 articles due tomorrow morning and only one is done so far!

The bouncy seat is the greatest invention EVER…we’ll next to pizza. Do they have pizza in Guatemala?
My son’s dad was always worried about stuff like that. The biggest disagreement was over a Dora House my son wanted. Of course i thought it was fine and had a list of reasons why it was fine and he was totally opposed. I got it anyway and now my son doesn’t want his friends to know he has it and asked me to sell it at the flea market! lol…
