The Boys on September 15th

Getting tired of Independence Day yet?
Here are some shots I took of Dorian and Dante at the parades.
Dante was very interested in the whole band thing, but a little confused as to why all these people were marching around with drums.

Dorian was bored from the start, though he did like some of the costumes. He had brought some bugs with him from home, clutched in his hot little hand, and he was worried they were going to die. We eventually set them free in a traffic cone.

After a bit, we moved to a shadier spot on the street.

It just happened to have a little space between two big windows, so the boys had a blast in there.

This is my absolute favorite picture of them from that day. Dorian was saying, “Shut the door!” because apparently I was the door and when I moved to take a photo, I took away their door.

Dante really enjoyed the entire show.

Dorian, not so much . . .

But he did manage to stand there for over two hours, so I’m impressed. And he was pretty relieved to get out of there!
