The Urge to be Creative

I have been coming across a lot of crafting and quilting blogs lately and they are really getting me in the mood to sew! Unfortunately I just cleaned my house a while back and decided to get rid of everything I wasn´t using. Which included giving away my pitiful supply of fabric, which I have had for absolutely too long.
Anyway, my new idea is to decide on a project, buy the fabric for just that project and not allow myself to buy anything else until I have finished said project. Easier said than done, right?
As much as I would love to jump right in with a big old quilt (thinking of doing a firetruck one for Dorian), I think something faster and perhaps more practical is in order. Like pajamas. This whole family could use some new pjs, but especially Dorian and myself. He has outgrown all of his jammies, the legs come up to his knees in his one piece pjs, and I haven´t owned a pair of pajamas in years. I just sleep in a tank top and sweat pants!
To help keep myself from getting way off track this week, since I´m supposed to be working on writing up a storm while Irving is around to look after the kids, I have started a spreadsheet. Every time I have a great idea for a sewing or craft project, I write it down in the spreadsheet and that is that. I can look at it again when Irving has gone back to work. In the meantime, I´m trying to get 20+ articles done per day! Wish me luck.
