Thirteen Projects I Want to Do Before Christmas

It´s been a while since I´ve done a Thursday Thirteen, but I´m getting back on the horse. Here are13 projects I want to finish by Christmas.
1. Finish my house so I have somewhere for my sister to sleep when she visits in Dec.
2. A crochet Snowflake afghan.
3. Two cross-stitch stockings for the boys . . . unfortunately, I can´t get the kits I want down here, so I´ll have to improvise.
4. A tree skirt. I´m not sure what style yet. Maybe felt angels on a plain background, it would be fast!
5. A fireman quilt for Dorian´s bed.
6. A podcast for my blog.
7. Replaster the boys´ room so my sister and I can paint it like a fire station.
8. A paper lamp to put above our bed once the furniture is evenly dispersed throughout the house.
9. Sand and paint Dorian´s dresser white with dalmatian spots.
10. Warm flannel jammies for everyone in the family to wear on Christmas Eve.
11. Holiday napkins and placemats, super simple out of felt.
12. Crochet a rag rug out of old jeans.
13. Curtains for the bedroom windows.
Sounds rather ambitious, doesn´t it? Now that I have all the ideas written out, I can see that the chances of actually finishing all these is pretty slim! Oh, well. If I can get half these projects finished, I guess I´ll have to be happy with that. 
As I finish each one, I´ll post a photo here for all to see.

Wow, that is a pretty daunting list…though seems you have a good reason to try to get them finished with the holiday approaching.
Hope you have a wonderful visit with your sister-painting the room together sounds like fun.
I am trying to wrap my mind around the rag rug…crochet project with jeans…do you cut them into thin strips and then crochet them? I know some people save plastic grocery bags and do that. (for an indoor/outdoor rug) Sounds cool…would love to know how!

I am feeling better in the stomach department, the medicine finally kicked in, thanks.
Now we are all down with colds. 
Here´s a link for crocheting a rag rug out of cloth: http://crochet.about.com/library/weekly/aa092599.htm This pattern calls for regular cloth, but I´m going to try jeans because I don´t want to deal with all the special edging, plus I have a lot of jeans that don´t fit or are worn out.
I want to do the grocery bag thing, too, but always end up using my bags for other purposes, like carrying dirty diapers while we are out or bin liners.
LOL on the salad. Ya, I have to agree with you tho….a ‘foul’ word indeed.
