Thirteen Things That Are Driving Me Nuts!

Today in light of my previous post on things that are driving me bonkers, I have decided to write thirteen things that bug me and their solutions. If you have another idea for fixing these issues, I would LOVE to hear it, so please leave lots of comments.
1. My kitchen is outside, with a dirt floor and it is impossible to cook. SOLUTION:Work really hard to earn enough money to finish the kitchen. Find dirt to fill it in and level it off.
2. No bathroom. SOLUTION: Build an outhouse, work hard to get the money to build a real bathroom.
3. The darn flies. SOLUTION:Wash bedspread, get a new bedspread so we have one being washed and one on the bed at all times. Or forbid husband and son from eating on the bed!
4. Baby won´t sleep. SOLUTION: Look up ideas online for helping newborns sleep since he is too little to cry it out.
5. I´m exhausted all the time. SOLUTION: Take a nap when the boys sleep instead of working.
6. The neighbor´s dogs keep getting in and jumping up on my stove, leaving messes where Dorian plays. SOLUTION: Find out where they are coming through the fence and block it off. Threaten neighbors AGAIN with dire consequences if they don´t start dealing with their animals.
7. The laundry is piling up. It is folded, but not put away because we have no space for it. SOLUTION: Throw out or give away maternity clothes, old and worn clothing to make space for everything else.
8. Our meals suck. I can´t get interested in cooking with this kitchen in such disarray, plus, with no fridge, things last all of two hours around here before they rot. SOLUTION:Make a meal plan. Take the kids out each day to buy fresh veggies and create nutritious meals.
9. Dorian is having hourly tantrums, must be early Terrible Twos. Or he is just bored. SOLUTION: Start giving more time outs and find some fun activities for us to do together so he doesn´t get so bored. Make him some Lotto cards with people´s faces on them.
10. I´m being horribly inefficient, partly due to frustration, partly from lack of sleep. SOLUTION:See number 5 for the tired part. Make a schedule and stick to it, use an alarm to give myself short increments of time to do stuff in.
11. The house (all one room of it) is a disaster, I´m not being a very good housekeeper because 1. there´s nowhere to put stuff and 2. I´m trying to work hard and earn the money to finish the house. SOLUTION:Start cleaning one area per day. Do mini cleanups three times a day, I should get up from the computer anyway.
12. I´m not having fun breastfeeding, it hurts and I´m frustrated. SOLUTION:Read up online about how to make it a better experience. Start taking vitamins so the milk is richer and actually fills Dante up so he isn´t crying for more after two breasts!
13. Paypal is insisting that I put a credit card on my account in order to send payments. I can´t get my money out without it. And I don´t have a credit card! SOLUTION:Try Xoom.com and see if I can transfer the money to Irving´s bank account. Find out about getting a virtual gift card to verify my account.
Ok, now is your chance to help me out. If you can solve any one of the above problems (or all of them
) I would really like to hear about it. Please drop me a comment below!

Another solution to #3: get husband and son to kill flies and when they expression frustration say something like, “Ok, I’ll give you an easier job instead: wash the bedspread … oh, that’s too hard? Ok. STOP EATING ON THE BED!!!!!!!!”
But don’t tell them a man told you to do that.
Hey, well done on not just getting annoyed but brainstorming solutions.
I love it! I think I´ll try your suggestion.
Tired, GET SOME SLEEP, and in the end, most of the others will seem less significant!!!
As to the feeding of the little one, try suplementing his feeds with a bottle. I know sometimes this might not seem a good idea, but it is only a ‘top up’ not weaning him off already. This might also allow your milk to improve, allow him to sleep longer and everyone’s a winner!!
Cheers and good luck!
Bernie
ps, stop by and have a look at our TT13!!
If you can do 5, 7, 9, and 11, you will be able to deal with the other frustrations a lot better. . . besides, the optometrists say we should be off the computer 15 minutes every hour. I used to ignore that advice, but was on so many hours that I could barely focus (you are younger won’t notice it so much) – but it does make a difference to your eyes. I can’t believe the difference it makes to mine. (At least blink!)
I hope the nursing gets better.
Bernie, I loved your TT13! Thanks for stopping by. I actually have been giving my little guy a few bottle feedings (or having my husband do it) so I can do something besides nurse! It makes me feel guilty though.
Marcia, nice to see you checking out this blog, too! I hadn´t even thought about the eye thing, but you have a very good point. Just what I need, to add blindness to my list!
By the way, to those who are wondering about this anonymous contributor, that´s me.
I was just too sleep deprived to figure out that I hadn´t signed in properly. oops.
