Time to Paint

Irving came to me yesterday, very excited because his brother had just bought a set of very nice watercolors in tubes for just 50 quetzales (about $7 US). He wanted me to get some so I can get back into painting. It was a nice thought.
You have to wonder, though. When exactly does he think I have time to paint?
Between housework, kids and writing deadlines, I don´t have time to think, much less paint! I guess I could write less on my blogs, but if I paint, I´m sure Dorian will be there, trying to eat the paint and throw the brushes out the door!
The last time I painted was at Christmas, when my sister was here. I painted two portraits to send back as gifts, one for my parents and one for my other sister. Sarah, who was visiting, didn´t get one because I didn´t have time! She got tea towels instead. lol. Here are the paintings that I did back then. Sorry, the photos are a bit out of focus.

I love the colors in your pictures. Wish I had your talent! I discovered your blog a couple of weeks ago and am a loyal reader.

Thank you, Training Hearts. Now if I just had time to go along with talent . . . I could perhaps improve my technique and sell some paintings! That´s always been a dream of mine.
Wow! they are awesome, i missed these before.
