What a Night!

It is 5:50 am and everyone is asleep. Irving in our bed, Dorian in his crib, Dante in his bouncy seat at my feet. So, why am I up?
It all began at 11:45 last night. I know, right? I´m used to waking up at 2 or 3 am, but 11pm?????
Anyway, Dante was the first to wake up. I got him settled again and Dorian woke up. At this point, Irving, who hadn´t gone to bed until 11:30, rolled over and said, “I can´t, I have to go to work tomorrow.” I hadn´t asked him to do anything, but anyway.
Dorian is going through a period of needing a LOT of water at night. Which means a LOT of diapers. Last night, for example, he wet himself completely (as in, the diaper just couldn´t hold it) 3 times. THREE TIMES!
As you can imagine, that meant a very awake, wet little boy. And Dante was waking up in between his brother´s diaper changes (and pajamas). I guess I should restrict the water, but I know there will be major tantrums and I can´t help but think that if he wakes up wanting water, he must be thirsty. Maybe the trick is to just give him a sip or two and leave it at that. But I just don´t have the energy to wean the kid right now, even off water!
So, I have basically been up all night. At 3, I decided to start working and surprisingly, have been very productive. Hey, I got three articles done for my At Home Mom blog, set to be published for the next two days so I don´t have to worry about it! Not too bad for a chronically sleep deprived woman.
