Wow, Monday Again!

I can´t believe last week flew by so fast! Here is a brief update on the goings on in our household over the past 8 days.
- We got our roof on and the floor of the kitchen is level, YAY! The blacksmith got it up in just two days, so the kitchen now has a complete roof. Irving hired a guy to haul dirt to bring the floor up to level as well and we will be pouring the concrete this week. It feels like a real room, now!
- The boys are both sick with really nasty colds. I´m getting it, too, but refuse to let it get me. Couple this with teething (BOTH of them!) and you have a lotta sleepless nights for Mama! Plus, Irving has been away the last few days on music gigs, so not much help there.
- Irving finally quit his job for good at the school and was home for two days this week, all day long. Unfortunately, I haven´t been able to work as much as I like due to his having to sort out stuff with the school and his sister who is taking his place.
- Our bed finally made it out of here, nearly a week after they said they would pick it up. Irving is sleeping on the floor and I´m on a single bed, which feels really weird! Dorian thinks the extra space is a hoot! He can almost climb up onto the bed on his own, too.
- I´ve had heaps of writing work, I´m still waiting to find out if I need to do revisions and such. While I´m happy to have the work, it has been very exhausting, with tight deadlines and lots of stress! I have one more big article to do today and then I just want to rest! The money that I will earn from the HUGE pile of articles I did will arrive at the end of September, so I have to keep working to have money for this month. 
But, I already have plans for every penny!
That´s about it. Oh, Dorian has hit a whole new level of defiance, refusing to eat anything I offer him, it´s all about taking what HE wants, when HE wants it. 
Anyhooooo! I´ll try to be a bit more faithful about updating now that those massive assignments are over. Not that I´m complaining or anything, because that money is SOOO welcome!

You should post some photos of all the work that is happening… A real construction site by the sounds of things…
Oh, the single bed thing, is this the latest in conraception by chance??
Well, there´s a whole other story behind the bed thing now. I´ll have to write a separate post on that!
